Dembele wanted by Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele this summer.

The Frenchman has less than two months left on his contract, and he could leave the Blaugrana on a free transfer.

United have been linked with him frequently over the past few months, but the Gunners also appear in the mix to sign him.

According to El Chiringuito, the Gunners’ hierarchy are working behind the scenes to finalise a Bosman deal for Dembele.

It is added that the north London club may have an edge over United if they qualify for next season’s Champions League.

They are currently fourth in the league standings, two points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, who they face next week.

There is still plenty of work to do to secure qualification, but the Gunners should fancy their chances amid recent form.

They have beaten Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham United lately to make a strong statement in the top-four hunt.
