Tottenham are set for a reunion with Christian Eriksen tonight as they look to get their top four charge back on track against Brentford.

Spurs’ hopes of returning to the Champions League were dented by a 1-0 defeat to Brighton last time out.

Eriksen helped Tottenham become a Champions League mainstay during his time at the club

Antonio Conte now faces off against his former Inter Milan player Eriksen, whose arrival at Brentford has sparked an incredible turnaround in their form.

The Bees have taken 15 points from the last 18 on offer to squash any fears of relegation and are now just two away from breaking into the top half.

The Dane, returning from the cardiac arrest he suffered at Euro 2020, has been involved in three goals in his last four Premier League games (one goal and two assist), while the Bees have won all five league games he’s started.

This Premier League clash will take place on Saturday, April 23.

talkSPORT have exclusive coverage of the London derby which will kick-off at the Brentford Community Stadium at 5:30pm.

Faye Carruthers will be your presenter while commentary will come from Ian Danter and ex-Republic of Ireland striker David Connolly.

Tottenham ran out 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture in December following a Sergi Canos own goal and a strike from Heung-Min Son.

Brentford v Tottenham: What has been said?

Tottenham fan Darren Ambrose would love to see Eriksen re-sign for the club in the summer.

Speaking about the Dane’s future, he said: “He could be loyal to Brentford but it depends on what Christian Eriksen wants, if he wants to show loyalty and he’s enjoying his football and he [might] says ‘right, I’m going to give back to Brentford because they put their trust in me when it looked like no one else was going to’.

“But he’s only 30, I believe, and he might be ambitious and he might think, ‘you know what? I want another crack at the very top’.

“I think there will be top, top teams in for him. [Antonio] Conte has already showed his interest in Eriksen.

“I would love him back at Tottenham, I think that is what we’re missing.”
