Timo Werner could be heading for a summer exit from Chelsea unless he is able to convince manager Thomas Tuchel over his abilities.
The German has bagged 10 goals and 11 assists from 41 appearances this term, but he has been guilty of missing several scoring chances.
He is no longer a guaranteed starter for the Blues, and Tuchel has recently preferred to go with Kai Havertz in the false number nine role.
According to Standard Sport, Werner is running out of time to prove that he is capable of guiding the club to silverware.
The club have been linked with several high-profile strikers including Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Aguero is said to welcome the prospect of joining the club once his contract with the Cityzens expires at the end of the season.
The Blues are long-term admirers of Aguero, and attempted to sign him from Atletico Madrid a decade ago without success.
